DESCRIPTION OF ARTWORK
A journey between ancient and contemporary
As in an imaginary archaeological find, four imposing Greek columns, each 13 meters long, transform the buttresses overlooking the descent to the tracks, offering passengers an ironic journey through time.
The artist chose to intervene directly on the structural elements of the station, exploiting the architecture of the ancient past as a way to deconstruct life in the present and capture in the underground layers of the subway a metaphor for the stratification of time and an unexplored world where anything is possible.

With his work, the artist continually connects various paradoxes: he takes one of the hardest and coldest materials –steel– and wraps it in a soft, warm material, as if Bresciadue station were resting on a cloud, in a dreamlike, slow world that contrasts with the speed of travel on the subway.
Struts, examples of the latest technology and contemporaneity, are being transformed into something ancient.
