DESCRIPTION OF ARTWORK
Brescia upside down
Installed between the two escalators of the FS Station, the work conceived by Maloberti presents itself as a real road sign: an element closely linked to the place, which constitutes one of the gateways to the city.
It is a sculpture-object that develops vertically, cutting horizontally through the space, falling from above like a chandelier and acting as a punctum that attracts the passerby.

The writing Brescia is upside down to ideally represent a second city, the “archaeological” one that develops underground.
Two mirror cities, one developing above ground, the other ancient underground in a play of perspectives that fits well into the context of the metro which is, in turn, a city beneath the city.

Marcello Maloberti
From the margins and from everyday life he builds an emotional theatre where precariousness becomes poetry and the audience recognizes itself in its collective representation.
