The Arte in Metro Brescia website is online

Connessioni di Luca Font - MUM Brescia

A website to tell the story of a museum in the making

Starting today, the Metro Urban Museum in Brescia has a digital home. The new website takes visitors and the curious to discover Italy’s first metropolitan museum, where street art runs along the tracks and colors the walls of the Via Magnolini depot.

A museum without tickets, without walls, accessible to everyone: now online too.

The portal presents itself as a true guide to the MUM, allowing you to explore the museum before, during and after your visit. Through its pages, you can discover the works that transformed the metro depot and the various stations, learn about the international artists who left their mark on Brescia, and follow the route of the decorated trains that crisscross the city daily.

Minimal geometry, arcade aesthetics, three-dimensional lettering, pictorial illusions, cyberpunk visions: each artist brought their own language, helping to create a constantly evolving museum.

An interactive map to chase art

Among the site’s features, the interactive map allows you to locate the fixed works and follow the decorated trains that run on the metro line. A useful tool for those who want to plan their visit or simply be surprised by the art while waiting on the dock.

Two projects, one vision

The site collects information on Subbrixia, the permanent collection of contemporary art that lives in the 17 Brescia metro stations. A project born in 2015 that brought installations by international artists such as Marcello Maloberti, Patrick Tuttofuoco, Emilio Isgrò, Nathalie Du Pasquier and Andreas Angelidakis to dialogue with metropolitan architecture.

Two souls, one common thread: bringing contemporary art into the daily life of the city, transforming every metro ride into a cultural experience.
